Possibilities of match fixing ...

Those who got auctioned for very high prices if they fail to perform it will be more than disappointing to the Club owners. In such events the club owners could even arrange for friendly bowling / batting to help keep up the high profile image of their star acquisitions.

Then there are those disgruntled players who did not get their 'true' price. They could selectively underperform, there by letting the bosses know that the high price horses do not necessarily win a cricket match and they need all 11 horses to play as a unit.

So what we may end us seeing is fixed matches.
